Saturday, April 5, 2008
Packet Pickup 8:00a.m. – 9:00a.m.
Kids Fun Run 8:45a.m. – 9:00a.m.
5k Race 9:00a.m. – 10:15a.m.
Awards & Closing 10:15a.m. – 10:30a.m.

Race Entry Fees
December 1, 2007 - February 29, 2008 $15
March 1, 2008 - March 29, 2008 $17
Race day registration on April 5, 2008 $20
The Kids Fun run is free, but kids must register.

3. Pick up entry forms at Marrow-Pitt Ace Home Center in Tarboro and mail in*

Note: After March 29th, there will be no mail or online registration and only be registration the day of the race.

Kids Run
Kids ages 5-12 will want to take part in this exciting event. The Quarter Mile Kids Fun Run begins prior to the Movin’ for Community Outreach 5k and features all the same excitement. The race will be around 1 city block starting near the corner of East Pitt Street and St. Patrick Street.
The Kids Fun run is free, but kids must register.
Time Limit
To be fair to volunteers and town residents, there will be a 1 hour 15 minute cutoff time for all runners and walkers.
Restrictions
Due to insurance restrictions, no bicycles, skateboards, roller skates/blades, animals, or headsets will be allowed on the course.
Awards
There will be 3 categories of awards for fastest times at the conclusion of the race:
· Top 3 Overall (Male/ Female)
· Top Town Employee, Firefighter or Police Officer (Male/ Female)
· Top 3 in Age Group (Male/ Female): <15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Event Day Parking
Free Parking is available in the parking lot located near the corner of St. Andrews Street and East Granville Street. Parking is also available on streets throughout the area.
